H&P designs, builds, and operates rigs on behalf of our customers who explore for, and produce oil and gas. Based on our position in the energy value chain, our opportunity for engagement with the communities located in the vicinity of oil and gas operations could be rather limited. However, we choose to give back to the communities in which we operate, and we are pleased to play a part in helping our employees do the same, through fundraising and charitable activities.

Some of H&P's charitable community efforts include:
  • Contributing annually to numerous educational, cultural and civic organizations, including the United Way and the Chamber of Commerce

  • Supporting biodiversity through the Nature Conservancy at the “Corporate Conservator” level

  • Providing significant capital contributions to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Commission, supporting the historic Greenwood District of downtown Tulsa

  • Contributions to the Helmerich Center for American Research at Gilcrease Museum

  • Supporting local educational institutions including The Foundation for Tulsa Schools, Oral Roberts University, The University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College

  • Contributing to other educational institutions in Oklahoma, including Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma

  • H&P employees giving their time, money, and effort to support area families and charities

  • An annual sponsorship of a Christmas can food drive, which receives generous employee support

Beyond supporting our communities through philanthropy, H&P recognizes that local hiring and procurement benefit local economies and communities where we do business. H&P hires locally within its countries of operation as well as strives to procure and strengthen relationships with local suppliers. We also provide attractive and fair compensation and benefit packages that support our overall employee value proposition and our goal to have a positive impact on our communities.

Additionally, we regularly conduct ethics trainings for our employees to ensure all members of our staff are conducting themselves in-line with H&P’s core value to - “do the right thing”.
